Tandem Language and Training Center is a licensed telc examination center since 2019. With the permission for external telc examinations, Tandem conducts telc examinations also in Trivandrum, India.

Registration and Information


Welcome to the official telc examination portal at Tandem Language and Training Center Corporation. As a certified telc examination center, we hold our testing procedures to the highest international standards to ensure valid, recognized results for all candidates.


Official Regulatory Compliance:


Tandem strictly adheres to the official examination regulations (Prüfungsordnung) and General Terms and Conditions (AGB) set forth by telc gGmbH. Candidates are encouraged to review these official guidelines directly on the telc Website.


Fees and Registration Guidelines


1. Examination Scheduling

  • Assignment:  Examination dates and times are assigned by Tandem based on center capacity and slot availability.

  • Candidate Availability:  Examinees must keep the entire designated testing period free. Specific individual schedules will be communicated to candidates (or their authorized representatives) at least 14 days prior to the exam date.

  • Attendance:  Requests for custom time slots cannot be accommodated.


2. Slot Reservation, Payments, & Cancellations

  • Finality of Registration: All fees, deposits, and slot reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once a slot is registered for a given testing month, the booking is final.

  • No-Show Policy: Failure to appear for the examination on time or absence due to personal negligence will result in the immediate forfeiture of the slot and fee without refund.


3. Examination Selection & Recognition Liability

  • Candidate Responsibility:  Candidates are solely responsible for ensuring they register for the correct examination level and module (e.g., B1, B2, written or oral exam only, etc.) required for their professional or academic goals.

  • Institutional Acceptance:  Neither telc gGmbH nor Tandem shall be held liable if a candidate registers for a certificate type that is subsequently not accepted by third-party institutions, employers, or government authorities.


4. Postponement & Force Majeure

  • Unforeseen Circumstances:  Tandem reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an examination session due to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, severe weather, local safety emergencies, or official government restrictions).
  • Rescheduling:  In such events, all active registrations will be automatically transferred to the next available examination date without penalty.


    Important Reminders

    • Official Registration Channel:  Registrations are accepted exclusively through the official Tandem website.

    • Fraud Prevention:  Do not register or process payments through third-party individuals, agencies, or unauthorized platforms. Tandem will not recognize third-party bookings and accepts no liability for fraudulent transactions.

    • Proof of Payment:  Always retain a copy of your transaction receipt and ensure it is properly uploaded as instructed in the registration form.

    For Submission to the Admin Staff
    Examinees are required to provide:

    • One (1) Photocopy of Passport or Primary ID (National ID, Passport, PhilPost ID, or PSA ID)
    • One (1) Photocopy of a Secondary ID (PRC ID, Driver’s License, or any other government-issued ID)

    • One (1) Original Primary ID: National ID, Passport, PhilPost ID, or PSA ID; OR

    Registration and Requirements


    Q: Can I register using other platforms?

    A: Registrations are accepted exclusively through our official website. Submissions or payments made through third-party agents, messaging apps, or social media are invalid and expose you to fraud.


    Q: What documents do I need to register?

    A: You must submit a valid passport or government-issued ID alongside your proof of payment. Aadhar ID is accepted in India. If you are registering for a partial B1 or B2 exam, you must also include a copy of your previous valid result, which should not be older than 12 months from the issuance date.


    Q: When is the registration deadline?

    A: Registration officially closes three weeks before the scheduled exam date. Any late registration remains strictly subject to slot availability.


    Q: Can I request corrections to my personal information before the exam?

    A: Yes, you can request corrections by emailing us a scanned copy of your valid ID or passport. Aadhar ID is accepted in India.


    Fees & Payment


    Q: How much does the exam cost?

    A: Exam fees vary by level, so please check our current fee schedule on the official registration page.


    Q: What are the available payment methods?

    A: You can pay via bank transfer or e-wallet transfer to our bank account. UPI is accepted for India. Your registration is confirmed only after we verify your payment.


    Q: Is the exam fee refundable or transferable?

    A: Exam fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. In verified medical emergencies, rescheduling may be approved upon submitting an official medical certificate.


    Exam Day Guidelines


    Q: What time should I arrive on exam day?

    A: You must arrive on or before your designated call time. Late arrivals will not be admitted under any circumstances.


    Q: What must I bring on exam day?

    A: You must bring your original valid ID or passport, as photocopies without the physical original will not be accepted. Aadhar ID is accepted in India. You should also bring water and a packed lunch, while all electronic devices and smartwatches remain strictly prohibited inside the testing room.


    Q: How long does the exam take?

    A: Total duration depends on the level, with the written portion taking around three hours for telc B1/B2. Oral exams run throughout the day, so candidates in later testing groups may finish up to four hours after the written portion.


    Results, Certificates and Support


    Q: When and how will I receive my results?

    A: Results and digital certificates are forwarded via email four to six weeks after the exam date, immediately upon release by telc gGmbH. Physical paper certificates are no longer issued.


    Q: How do I correct wrong personal details on my issued certificate?

    A: Email us specifying the error along with a copy of the incorrect digital certificate and a scanned copy of your valid ID or passport. Aadhar ID is accepted in India.


    Q: Can I choose or change my exam schedule after registering?

    A: No, all exam schedules and individual time slots are determined solely by the examination center.


    Q: Do you offer telc exam preparation courses?

    A: We offer comprehensive German language courses, but we do not run standalone telc preparation classes. Please contact us directly for current course schedules and tuition details.
